چکیده

Vertisols present edaphic limiting factors primarily of a physical nature. The study their hydropedology, supported by multivariate techniques, is vital importance. work was developed with the objective determining, through analysis, hydropedological behavior Chromic Vertisol under different plant covers. In areas natural grass, sugarcane, and secondary forest, belonging to Holguín Sugarcane Provincial Research Station, three random points were chosen in each. Soil penetration resistance, soil bulk density, gravimetric moisture, volumetric moisture at depths 0-10, 10-20 20-30cm determined. A Principal Component Analysis Canonical Correlations performed using Statistica 7 Statgraphics Plus XV.II. first two components made greatest contribution variance, 83.09%. contributions (1st component) given all compaction depth 20-30 cm. 2nd component influenced 0-10 10-20cm layers. There contrast between variables that characterize solid phase which they describe liquid soil. correlation compaction. pairs canonical showed strong linear regularly dispersed along central values model, remarkable grouping depths.

Optimization of diagnostic microarray for application in analysing landfill methanotroph communities under different plant covers.

Landfill sites are responsible for 6-12% of global methane emission. Methanotrophs play a very important role in decreasing landfill site methane emissions. We investigated the methane oxidation capacity and methanotroph diversity in lysimeters simulating landfill sites with different plant vegetations. Methane oxidation rates were 35 g methane m-2 day-1 or higher for planted lysimeters and 18 ...

Behavior of Confined Columns under Different Techniques

Since columns are the most important elements of the structures, failure of one column in a critical location can cause a progressive collapse. In this respect, the repair and strengthening of columns is a very important subject to reduce the building failure and to keep the columns capacity. Twenty columns with different parameters is tested and analysis. Eleven typical confined reinforced con...

Evaluation of Agronomic Attributes of Canola Cultivars under Different Plant Densities and Application of Humic Acid

To investigate the effect of humic acid application on agronomic characteristics of canola (Brassica napus L.) genotypes in different plant densities, a factorial split-plot experiment was performed using a randomized complete block design with three replications in the Seed and Plant Improvement Institute, Karaj, Iran. Plant density at three levels of 40, 60 and 80 plants/m2 and humic acid at ...
